Chhattisgarh: The spread of novel coronavirus in Chhattisgarh is substantially on rise with daily count reaching up to 70 since the nation decided to further ease on restrictions to start the flow of economic activities.

On Tuesday Late night, 29 new coronavirus positive cases were found in the state. With this, the total number of cases in the last 24 hours surged to 43. This brings Chhattisgarh’s tally to 1240 which includes 884 active cases and 5 deaths.

Of these 29 cases, Janjgir alone records 26 cases of coronavirus while 2 are from Surguja and 1 from Jashpur.

Apart from this, 4 patients from Jashpur have been cured from the disease. With this, the number of patients recovered from the virus reached to 351.

State health department released a new medical bulletin on Wednesday at 11 am to inform the same.

Chhattisgarh’s 1,240 cases put it at number 21 in terms of number of cases among all states and union territories in India. Meanwhile, India has recorded over 2.76 lakhs cases so far whereas Maharashtra remains the worst hit state in the country with over 90,000 confirmed cases.
