Chhattisgarh recorded a total of 93 fresh cases on Thursday which is the biggest spike in a single day in the state ever since the first case was detected on March 18. With this, the active cases of coronavirus has surged to 565 in the state
The state health department released a Covid-19 bulletin on Thursday night claiming that 93 new Covid-19 cases were detected which brings the total tally of Covid-19 cases to 773 in the state.
Out of these new cases, 19 each were reported from Mahasamund and Jashpur district, 17 from Bilaspur, Nine from Janjgir, Six each from Raipur & Rajnandgaon, 5 from Raigarh, four cases are from Kabirdham, 3 each from Balodabazar and Gariyaband, 2 from surajpur district.
The spread of coronavirus is gearing up in the capital as well. With 6 new cases recorded in a single day, Raipur has now 17 active cases and has recorded 26 confirmed cases till date.
The New cases emerged in the capital are from One Minor girl from Devpuri area, 25 years old girl from RamSagar para, A worker from a private company, 2 people are found in Metal park, One case has been surfaced from Kabir nagar. None reported any travel history except the person found in Kabir nagar.
Till now, Chhattisgarh has reported 2 deaths due to the coronavirus pandemic. As many as 17 patients discharged from different Covid-19 hospitals and medical college hospitals of the state today, taking the total number of recovered cases to 206, as per the health bulletin.
At present, 6,93,650 people are kept in 19,510 quarantine centres, while 2,23,366 are under home quarantine as a precautionary measures.
