Chhattisgarh: After witnessing a new hike in coronavirus daily count on Friday with 40 fresh cases registered in a single day, Chhattisgarh has seen a down slope today with only 5 new cases emerged from the state.
With these 5 new cases, the total number of active cases in the state rises to 115, taking the total tally to 177 on Saturday. On the brighter side, the total number of patients who have recovered from the disease reached to 62.
Of the 5 patients, 4 are from raigarh district and 1 from Jashpur district.These all patients are said to be treated in Raigarh medical college which has been approved to treat coronavirus patients by Chhattisgarh government.
To confirm this, Health department CG took to their twitter handle ” 5 new corona-positive patients have been identified. 04 corona positive patients have been confirmed from Raigarh district and 01 from Jashpur district. The process of getting all the patients admitted to Raigarh Medical College is going on. The number of active patients has increased to 115 in the state.”
According to the data released by Chhattisgarh government, the total number of sample tested is rising with each passing day. On Friday, The number of samples tested was 3339. Presently, samples are being tested in 6 designated labs in the state, 5 of which are Government health facilities.
As of 23 April, 19 districts have detected coronavirus cases in the state. Out of which, Korba registered the highest number of covid_19 cases with 41 cases followed by balod(18), Janjgir(15), Balodabazar(14), Kabeerdham(13), Rajnandgaon(12), Bilaspur(11), Durg(10), Raigarh(9), Raipur(8), Surajpur(7), Kanker(5), Gariyabandh(4), Sarguja(3), Mungeli(3), Korea(1), Bemetara(1), Balrampur(1) and adding to this list with the new case is Jashpur(1).
