A colossal investment of Rs 43,250 crore has been received by the Government of Chhattisgarh in the form of investment proposals during the inaugural SING Forum 2026 in Singapore, including a grand-scale investment of Rs 41,750 crore in a 100 Mega Watts Hyperscale Data Centre.

Singapore based Energy Capital Global Pte Ltd, which is developing a data centre project, was given an ‘Invitation to Invest’ by Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai. The investment plan would be expected to be a significant leg of the state of Chhattisgarh’s plans for economic development through its digital infrastructure.

China’s hyperscale data centre may thus help boost the state’s digital infrastructure and provide opportunities for technology firms and other businesses looking for data and cloud infrastructure facilities. The project is also a change in the policy of investment in new technology-based industries along with Chhattisgarh’s conventional industries.

The data centre proposal of Rs 41,750 crore contributes the major share of the total investments received from them during the Singapore forum. Other proposals take the overall investment interest received by the state to Rs 43,250 crore.

To showcase investment opportunities to global businesses and investors, SING Forum 2026 was introduced in Chhattisgarh. So far, the state government is looking around for investments in all infrastructure, technology, energy among the emerging sectors.

It is important that the data centre project comes to be since digital infrastructure, cloud services and data storage projects are on the rise. A large-scale facility also can lead to the growth of technology services and business ecosystems related in the state.

The foreign investment plans received in Singapore are being considered as the foreign interest in Chhattisgarh investment potential. The government is also pushing the development of a new industrial base in the state while also developing its existing one to make it appealing to new age industries and businesses.

Next, the investments proposed will have to go through the necessary approvals and ongoing negotiations between the two businesses and the state authorities. The hyperscale data centre initiative, if pushed through, could significantly enhance Chhattisgarh’s digital infrastructure.
