Raipur: Chhattisgarh Board Of Secondary Education (CGBSE) is all set to declare the results of high school certificate (class-X) and higher secondary school certificate examination (class-XII) on Tuesday (June 23).
CGBSE secretary VK Goel said that school education minister Dr. Prem Singh Sai Tekam will announce the exam results. According to the Press Release, School Education Minister will announce the results via press conference on June 23 at 11 am in the wake of novel coronavirus.
The board exam was supposed to conclude on March 26, however, due to the steep rise in the coronavirus cases across the nation, the board was forced to cancel the pending exams. State government decided to give marks on the remaining subjects on the basis of internal assessment of the students.
The students can download the provisional marksheets from the websites cgbse.nic.in and results.cg.nic.in. Around 3.84 lakh students have registered for class 10 and over 2.66 lakh students registered for class 12 exams
In a major decision as part of measures to prevent infection of coronavirus (Covid-19), Bhupesh Baghel led state government, this year had given general promotion to the students of the state studying in class I to VIII and students studying in class 9th and class 11th in the academic session 2019-20.
The entire state had been under lockdown from 24 March 2020, following the Central Government order in the regards. Due to the closure of the school for such a long time, the home examinations could not be conducted in the schools for class I to class VIII and class IX and class XI. Hence, the Chhattisgarh government had decided to give general promotion to the students studying from class I to VIII and classes IX and XI.
Meanwhile, Chhattisgarh’s Covid19 count has surged to 2273 on Sunday including 841 active cases and 1421 people have been recovered from the virus.
