Raipur: The mercury dropped to 8.8 degrees today in Narayanpur as it remained the coldest region of the Chhattisgarh state. Pendra Road and Bastar region too recorded a huge drop in the minimum temperature. Many Indian states are witnessing an outbreak of cold wave due to the dry and cold winds blowing from the north.
According to the Meteorological Department, there will be a further drop in the minimum temperature in the coming days. It has also tweeted about 5 days rainfall forecast for Chhattisgarh state.
The minimum temperature recorded for Raipur was 15.2 degree Celsius, which is three degrees lesser than the normal temperature, while the same was recorded at 13.6 degree Celsius for Bilaspur.
Earlier on November 4, Meteorological department Raipur had tweeted as the state realised its minimum temperature.
The weather is mostly dry in the entire state including Raipur.
