Raipur: A 28-year-old man committed suicide after allegedly killing his girlfriend over suspicion of infidelity, police said on Wednesday.
The incident is reported to have taken place in Raipur on the intervening night of Tuesday and Wednesday. As per reports, Kamlesh Kumar Sahu allegedly killed his girlfriend with a blade and hammer in the Bandhwapara locality under Purani Basti police station limits.
The duo hailed from the Durg district and the victim worked as a call tracker in emergency response service Dial-112 in Raipur, Additional Superintendent of Police (West) Akash Rao Giripunje said.
The bodies of the victim and the accused have been sent for post-mortem and further probe is underway.
