Raipur: Chhattisgarh added 11 patients in the past 48 hours of swine flu cases in the capital city of Raipur, taking the total number of active cases to 65. As per the state department report, 35 out of the total have recuperated and 28 active cases are yet under medical care. So far only two deaths have been recorded.
District Medical Officer Dr Meera Baghel has instructed hospitals to make adequate arrangements for the treatment of H1N1 virus infection. Instructions have been given to maintain adequate number of beds with ventilator support and staff. In a media interaction the DMO informed that the two deceased presented co-morbidities.
One of out of the two deceased was a four year old girl who was undergoing treatment for pneumonia, acute respiratory distress syndrome (ARDS) and H1N1 virus (Influenza A).
Health Officials have urged the people to follow COVID-19 precautions appropriately.
