Tamil Nadu Revenue Minister KA Sengottaiyan vehemently refuted any qualities to the lengthy gaps in Chief Minister C Joseph Vijay’s interaction with the media on Monday. “Everyone may have different opinions. However, this government is not one that is meant to last only for five years. Our Chief Minister will continue to be the Permanent Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu’, Sengottaiyan told journalists at the event.
The Minister of Revenue was also questioned about the horrid rape and killing of a 10 year-old girl by two men from Coimbatore, which deeply shocked the State. Under the leadership of the Chief Minister C Joseph Vijay, the Tamil Nadu government has taken quick and vigorous legal action in the case, Sengottaiyan said.
He said the government was taking the seriousness of the matter very seriously and action would be taken against the culprits. The minister highlighted that the safety of women and girls is a foremost concern with the state government, where he assured that justice would be ensured in the case.
