Bhopal: Players of Madhya Pradesh who won medals in the Olympics and Asian Games will be directly appointed to the post of gazetted officer. Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav has given these instructions as soon as the opportunity opened up for players.
On the instructions of the Chief Minister, this proposal will soon come up in the cabinet meeting. Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav held a review meeting of the Sports and Youth Welfare Department. The Chief Minister said that excellent players will be given jobs through sports quota in Higher Education, School Education, Forest, Excise, Transport, Police and Scheduled Tribe departments on the basis of educational qualification.
The Chief Minister directed to prepare a proposal by studying the rules prevalent for appointment in sports quota in other states. The Chief Minister has said that to promote Mallakhamb and Gymnastics in the state, separate academies will be built for both the sports in Ujjain. Adventure sports activities will be included in the main sports as sports adventure by linking them with tourism and forest. Adventure sports activities should be organized by selecting youth from all the districts. The Chief Minister said that a sports stadium should be built in every district. Such preparations should be made that every stadium also has a helipad.
