Bhopal: Madhya Pradesh Congress President Kamal Nath has revealed that the party has finalized its list of candidates for the state Assembly elections. This announcement comes as the opposition Congress in Madhya Pradesh gears up for the scheduled polls in November this year. While an official declaration regarding the candidates is yet to be made by the party, Nath hinted that potential candidates have already been notified.

When addressing the issue of ticket distribution Kamal Nath mentioned, “We have informed those who’re interested in contesting on our partys ticket.” This indicates that significant progress has been made in selecting candidates.

Taking a dig at Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan, Kamal Nath criticized him for making promises. Hinted that he may have forgotten some of them. In response to Chouhan’s assurance that if BJP is re-elected, every family will be provided with one job opportunity, Kamal Nath accused him of trying to deceive the public. However, he expressed trust in the voters of Madhya Pradesh, implying their ability to recognize promises.

In contrast, while the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has already released three lists of candidates for the 2023 Madhya Pradesh Assembly elections, the Congress is yet to unveil a list. It is anticipated that the Congress will unveil its roster of candidates in Madhya Pradesh after October 6th.

The upcoming Assembly elections in Madhya Pradesh carry importance with both parties preparing for a campaign to secure control of the state government.
