For the past ten days, citizens, students, and green activists have been campaigning against what they call a plan by the MP Housing Board to construct bungalows for MLAs and bureaucrats by clearing trees at Shivaji Nagar and Tulsi Nagar, one of the …

Lalluram’s news has once again had a big impact in Madhya Pradesh. A ban has been imposed on cutting 29 thousand trees for new housing for ministers and MLAs in the capital. Urban Administration Minister Kailash Vijayvargiya, while giving information, said that the plan for new housing has been postponed. Lalluram.com had published this news prominently. There was constant protest against cutting trees. Women had started the Chipko movement. After which many MLAs and ministers have also opposed it and a ban has been imposed on cutting trees.

Urban Administration Minister Kailash Vijayvargiya gave information about this and while posting wrote, “Keeping in view the environmental protection and trees present in the area of New Bhopal’s re-densification plan, the presented proposal has been rejected after thorough consideration and instructions have been given to examine other alternative locations. For the new proposal, discussions will also be held with citizens and public representatives at the initial level.”

It is worth mentioning that bungalows for dignitaries were proposed to be built in Madhya Pradesh at a cost of 3 thousand crores. But before the project could start, there was a demand to stop it. Grand and fully equipped new government houses were to be built for ministers and MLAs. But for its construction, about 29 thousand green trees were to be sacrificed. Regarding which, environmentalists had filed a petition in NGT (National Green Tribunal). Also, Lalluram.com  and lalluramnews.com had published this news prominently, after which the government came on the back foot and now a new place had to be looked for housing. After this decision of the administration, there is a wave of happiness among environmentalists.
