Bhopal: On the second consecutive day of demonstration of National Health Mission (NHM) contract outsourced employees in Madhya Pradesh, a large number of employees gathered at the Polytechnic intersection of Bhopal. The women employee who was waiting to meet the chief minister fainted while sitting on the dharna.
On one hand, the contract employees have been protesting, and chief minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan launched a scheme for on-the-job training for youth of the state. “Not a long struggle from studies to job, now is the era of SKY. Just as a bird does not give a nest to its children, it gives wings so that they can fly high in the sky similarly, my sons and daughters should learn and earn after studying, for this we have come up with the “Chief Minister’s Learn-Earn’ scheme”, wrote CM Chouhan on X.
Further explaining the scheme, he posted a video that garaunteed offer letter to over 14000 students with a stipend of Rs. 10000.
Earlier on Monday, 3000 employees of NHM Samvida outsource protested against the government to regularize outsources support staff employees on vacant posts. The workers demanded that outsource practice to be abolished in the health department and further require the government to take the expelled employees back to service.
