Tamil Nadu CM Vijay during his visit to Karur on Friday will meet the family members of those who died in a stampede during his political rally addressed by him in September last year. The chief minister will participate in the programme at the Atlas Kalai Arangam Grounds near Vennamalai in Karur on Friday morning. Following which he will also handover appointment orders on compassionate grounds to 32 family members of the victims.
Extensive preparations are underway for the public interaction programme in Karur. Amassive pandal is being set up across nearly 10 acres, with seating arrangements for around 5,000 people. Iron barricades have been installed around the venue as part of the security and event arrangements. Party flags and flex banners have been erected along the routes leading to the event venue.
Authorities have also made arrangements to issue QR code-enabled identity cards to all 5,000 participants attending the event.
Mr. Vijay will also lay the foundation stone for Evervan Kothari Footwear Private Limited, which will come up at Manavasi near Krishnarayapuram with an investment of ₹1,700 crore sources revealed.
