Lucknow: The rise in Covid cases has forced the Government of UP to decide in keeping the schools closed till April 11. The government decided on Friday to extend the date till April 11. All the people of UP are directed by the government to follow the restrictions strictly.
Earlier, Yogi Adityanath, the CM of UP had ordered the closure of schools till April 8. But after a meeting with the top officials, the decision was changed. The new instructions are issued by the CM after the meeting. The CM also ordered the officials to raise the number of Covid-19 testings in UP to curb the rise of the infection.
Regarding the private sector employees, the CM said, “The Government employees going in for Covid-19 vaccination must be given a day’s off on their due date. Likewise, similar arrangements must be made for private-sector employees too”.
Four judges and thirteen employees tested positive for Covid-19 in the district court of Lucknow for which the campus has been closed for two days. The Health Department of UP recorded 11,918 active Covid-19 cases. So far, 8,820 people have lost their lives due to the deadly virus while 59,90,45 have recovered from the disease.
