Bengaluru: A retired pilot of the Indian Air Force (IAF) and his wife were found murdered in their villa in Eagleton The Golf Village at Bidadi on the western outskirts of Bengaluru on Tuesday.

The police suspect the involvement of an employee named Joginder Singh, who is absconding. According to the police, the murder was committed in greed for the valuables possessed by the couple. The deceased have been identified as Raghurajan and Asha, from Chennai. They had been residing in the gated community for the past six years and are survived by two children, both of them are working with private firms in New Delhi. 

The incident came to light when the children called up the security guard as they received no response to calls. The guards at the son’s request, at 2 pm went to the villa and found their employee Joginder Singh in the house. When asked, Singh told them that the couple had gone to Bengaluru in the early hours. The information was passed on to their sons.  Denying to accept the information, the guards were requested recheck after which they found the old couple drenched in blood on their bed.

SP Ramnagara, Santosh Babu claims the main suspect is Joginder based on the insights given by the security guards. Teams have been engaged to nab the accused, A murder case has also been registered against the crime, the SP added.
