The Indian Prime Minister, Narendra Modi, will be in Srinagar on Thursday to commemorate the International Yoga Day, making it his first visit to Jammu and Kashmir since his third consecutive term. The prime minister will inaugurate the rally known as Empowering Youth, transforming J&K at Sher-i-Kashmir International Conference Centre (SKICC) in Srinagar.
During his visit to Jammu and Kashmir for the two-day tour, he is set to inaugurate and lay the foundation for several development projects originally estimated to cost over ₹1,500 crore. Furthermore, he will also announce the new Competitiveness Improvement in Agriculture and Allied Sectors Project, which will be kept at a value of ₹1,800 crore.
The Press Information Bureau said, “On 21st June, at around 6: 30 AM, the prime minister will take part in the 10th International Day of Yoga event to be organised at formation SKICC in Srinagar; he will deliver a speech and also perform the CYP Yoga session.”
Special security arrangements had been activated for the two-day official visit of the Prime Minister to Kashmir. Organizers announced that at least 7000 people will exercise along with him while doing yoga at the scenic Dal Lake. The Imposing figure deformity is used here to refer to the specific Yoga ’Asanas’ in which these participants have been trained for the past 3 days in preparation for the PM to perform.
Being very sensitive and a rendezvous of opposers, Srinagar City has been heavily fortified to facilitate a quiet visit by security forces. All approaches to SKICC have been closed to the public to ensure the area was thoroughly sanitized, and the process was completed on Tuesday. Preparations include an initial screening of all officials, security, and athletes in attendance to enhance security on the scene.
In another safety procedure, the Srinagar Police prohibited the use of drones and quadcopters or flying them within the city, which was classified as a ‘Temporary Red Zone’. The operation of Drones and quadcopters over Srinagar city was up for operation for temporarily in the Red Zone on the provision of Rule 24 of Drone Rules 2021 as stated by the Srinagar Police announcement X on June 18.
