Delhi has always been on the radar to have poor air quality. And during winters, the foggy weather conditions in the northern states add to the already suffering climatic conditions. The Indian meteorological department, on Thursday, said that alongside Delhi, other states of the northwest side are also going to face major foggy weather till Feb 14.
IMD tweeted the same saying, “Dense to very dense fog in isolated pockets very likely over Punjab, Haryana, Chandigarh and Delhi, East Uttar Pradesh and northwest Rajasthan in the morning hours of February 12 and 13 and dense fog in isolated pockets over the same area in the morning hours of February 14”.
IMD in another tweet said that Odisha and Bihar will also face similar weather conditions over the next few days. The tweet read, “Dense fog in isolated pockets over Bihar in the morning hours of February 12 and 13 and over Odisha in the morning hours of February 12, 2021”. Meanwhile, the air quality index of Delhi is not very good. It stands at 320 with variable indices at different areas of the capital. The dense fog had only added to the woes!
