Kolkata: After the West Bengal Assembly Election Result, the fire of violence has erupted in Bengal. After the election results, violence is taking place at many places, including West Bengal’s capital Kolkata. People demolished the TMC office in Kolkata with a bulldozer. People allege that the TMC office was built by illegal occupation. Whereas, the TMC office was burnt in Asansol. 2 people have died in the violence. BJP and TMC workers are attacking each other at many places. This has worsened the situation.

The Election Commission has expressed its displeasure over the violence in Bengal. The Election Commission has issued strict orders to officials to take action against the rioters. In his directive, the Chief Election Commissioner stated that those inciting violence and vandalism in West Bengal should be immediately arrested. He also directed that patrols be intensified in the affected areas.

Tensions remain high in the area after a Trinamool Congress Party office was set on fire late last night at Court More in the Asansol North Assembly constituency. The office belonged to Mousumi Bose, the Trinamool Congress’s Ward No. 53 councilor. The fire spread rapidly, razing the office to the ground and damaging a nearby shop. Mahua Moitra tweeted a video of the incident. “Yesterday in Jiaganj (home to singer Arijit Singh & an hour from my home ) BJP workers smashed & brought to the ground a decades- old statue of Lenin claiming they will replace with Shivaji. Enjoy Parivartan”, she wrote on X.

Senior TMC leader Derek O’Brien alleged that the demolition was carried out under government supervision. He said in a social media post that a bulldozer was brought to New Market in central Kolkata with police permission to demolish meat shops as part of victory celebrations. CAPF personnel were standing nearby. He added, “This is the BJP. The world should see these pictures.
