New Delhi: In Jammu and Kashmir this year, the Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) said that 112 terrorists have been killed, 135 have been captured, and two have surrendered.
In response to recent civilian fatalities in the Union Territory, the CRPF is sending five extra companies to Jammu and Kashmir. Within a week, these businesses will be deployed there. The army has previously dispatched 25 companies to Jammu and Kashmir.
Terrorists shot and killed a civilian working as a salesman at a Kashmiri Pandit’s business in the Bohri Kadal neighbourhood of Jammu and Kashmir’s Srinagar, police said. Terrorists shot and killed a police officer in Srinagar’s Batamaloo neighbourhood the day before. During an operation in Jammu and Kashmir’s Pulwama district on Monday, the CRPF apprehended a terrorist.
Moreover, a total of 13 Maoists have been killed this year, CRPF informed. “A total of 13 Maoists have been killed, 603 apprehended and 486 surrendered in Left Wing Extremism (LWE) or Naxal-affected areas so far this year,” CRPF stated.
