Corona Update: After Ramayan, India’s First superhero “SHAKTIMAAN” is all set to return to small screen amid India lockdown

INDIA: After receiving high demands of reruns of many classic cult serials during lockdown. Doordarshan is all set to bring back the era of 90’s to small screen. Earlier, this week Doordarshan has already started with hit mythological shows such as “Ramayan” & “Mahabharat”, Now according to the sources, they are all ready to bring back cult series like Shaktimaan, Chanakya, Byomkesh Bakshi, Shrimaan & Shrimati etc.

The serial will be on air from April 2020 at 1 pm. Shaktimaan has been a superhit TV serial of the 90s. It still has an imprint in the minds of the audience of that era. 

Ever since it was announced that Ramayana would make a comeback, Viewers have taken to social media asking for a re-broadcast of other shows including Nukkad, Hum Log, Dekh Bhai Dekh and Flop Show. Other shows which have already made a return include Byomkesh Bakshi, Mahabharat and Circus.The Ministry of Information and Broadcasting has announced that it is mandatory for all the DTH/Cable operators to show all the DD Channels as well as Lok Sabha and Rajya Sabha channels as per the Cable Television Networks (Regulation) Act.
