The Cockroach Janata Party (CJP) has called a countrywide strike on July 24 during which people will strike peaceful in every district of the country to raise their voice in debate.
The campaign, launched under slogan “Every District, One Day, One Demand” is rallied to convey its solidarity with the protesters who CJP says faced police brutality during recent protests in Delhi.
The organisation had called local groups in a social media message to meet at the respective meeting points before reading the students’ demands, and then deliver a memorandum to the district authorities following the protest.
The CJP has a standard operating procedure (SOP), campaign material and a memorandum template to be able to coordinate demonstrations. There have been instructions to the organisers to liaise with student unions, liaise with local authorities as necessary and keep all protests peaceful and safe.
The call follows the ongoing protest by students at Delhi’s Jantar Mantar, where the CJP had been agitating for education reforms, action against those responsible behind the leaked NEET-UG 2026 paper, and other demands nationwide.
In the meantime, the Central government has reiterated its willingness of negotiation with CJP.
The Centre is exploring the possibility of summoning all floor leaders of the opposition Opposition parties to discuss the NEET-UG conundrum in Parliament without any pre-conditions such as the need to resignation of ministers, government sources said.
