Marking 25 years of Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s public life and service, the Bharatiya Janata Party, on the occasion of PM Modi’s 76th birthday, began its month-long campaign titled ‘Seva Sankalp Abhiyan’ on Thursday.
Meanwhile, birthday wishes kept pouring in for Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
Union Home Minister Amit Shah extended birthday wishes, describing his political journey as an example of service, sacrifice, national service and unwavering resolve. Calling the PM a symbol of tireless hard work, sacrifice and foresight, Shah said, “The life of Modi ji, who has made ‘karma’ his ‘sadhana’ and national service the aim of his life, is an epic tale of penance, sacrifice and unwavering resolve.”
Bollywood celebrities also took to X, (formerly known as Twitter), to extend warm birthday wishes to PM Modi.
Akshay Kumar, on his X handle, wrote, “Today is the birthday of our esteemed Prime Minister ji, and this day is being celebrated with a resolve for service. I believe there cannot be a more beautiful way to celebrate a birthday than this.”
Jackie Shroff shared a picture with PM Modi on his Instagram handle and extended warm wishes to the Honourable Prime Minister of India.
Sharing a throwback photo with Prime Minister Modi on her Instagram, Shilpa Shetty wrote, “Happy birthday to our Honourable Prime Minister, Shri Narendra Modi ji. Wishing you good health, strength and continued success as you lead the nation forward.”
On the occasion of his birthday, Prime Minister Modi’s math and science school teacher, Patel, for Classes 10 and 11 at B.N. N gar High School in Vadnagar from June 1965 to May 1967, recalled an incident from a school play organised to raise money to build a compound wall, where PM Modi played the role of folk hero Jogidas Khuman and performed with a sword while speaking in the Kathiawadi dialect. Recalling PM Modi’s zeal, Mr. Patel spoke of Modi as a brilliant student.
Earlier, on September 9, BJP National President Nitin Gadkari addressed a press conference at the party headquarters announcing the event, commemorating 25 years of public service on October 7.
“Prime Minister Modi’s journey of service began on October 7, 2001, when he assumed office as the Chief Minister of Gujarat. Over the past 25 years, he has worked continuously, guided by the mantra of public service to national service,” Nabin said.
