The Delhi police is scheduled to hold a press conference regarding the protest at Jantar Mantar at 1 p.m. today. Ahead of the third round of talks with the government, CPI’s spokesperson Ashutosh Rana at his handle on social media platform X highlighted that Pradhan’s resignation is non-negotiable.

The government and the satirical political party have scheduled to hold the third round of talks as protests continue. According to sources, the center has sought time till Sunday afternoon over the resignation demand.

Meanwhile, CJP founder Abhijit Dipke has been diagnosed with typhoid. Taking to social media, Dipke informed that he was diagnosed with typhoid but also asserted that the fight will go on until Dharmendra Pradhan resigns.

In view of security concerns, liquor shops in Delhi have been ordered to close by 8 p.m. over the weekend. “The shops will now close by 8 pm till the weekend. The decision was taken based on the police inputs flagging the prevailing situation due to the ongoing protest at Jantar Mantar,” a senior Delhi government officer said.Besides, 18 metro stations were closed from 7.30 a.m. today, amidst continuous protests over the paper leak.

Updating the situation from the hospital, Sonam Wangchuk’s wife, Gitanjali Angmo shared a picture of police personnel standing inside a hospital, , claiming they are everywhere at both government-run Safdarjung Hospital and private facility, Medanta. Questioning Wangchuk’ status as a detainee, Angmo in a social media post said, “At both Safdarjung and now Medanta, police are everywhere. At the main gate. The reception. The lifts. Outside Wangchuk’s ICU. They decide who may or may not meet him. If the Court has clarified that he is not under detention, then under what authority is this happening?”Sonam Wangchuk was transferred from Safdarjung Hospital to Medanta hospital after Angmo moved the court repeatedly.
