New Delhi: India recorded 8,586 fresh infections in the past 24 hours. The recovery rate at 98.59 per cent accounted for 9,680 recuperations in the last 24 hours taking the total recoveries to 4,37,33,624.
The daily positivity rate stood at 2.19 per cent, while the weekly positivity rate stood at 3.31 per cent. The number of active cases stood at 96,506 accounting for 0.22 per cent of the total number of cases. The active cases reported a drop of 1,142 in the last 24 hours. However, the mortality rate stood at 1.20 per cent recorded 48 fatalities taking the cumulative death toll to 5,27,416.
The nation capital on Monday reported 625 fresh COVID-19 cases and seven deaths, while the positivity rate stood at 9.27 per cent, according to data shared by the city health department.
With the administration of 29,25,342 vaccine doses in the last 24 hours, India’s COVID-19 vaccination coverage has exceeded 210.31 crore according to updated data. According to the health dept, more than 200.11 crore (2,00,11,41,975) vaccine doses have been provided to States/UTs so far through Govt. of India (free of cost channel) and through direct state procurement category. More than 6.32 Cr (6,32,12,400) balance and unutilized COVID Vaccine doses are still available with the States/UTs to be administered.
