Political tussle linked to name of ‘Super CM’ in Chhattisgarh has grown in intensity as both the BJP and Congress has taken to social media, creating hurley and hurling against one another in the form of posts and videos, posters. The BJP has pampered grievances of the community with the latest development, a rap song.
The BJP shared the rapping with social media and picked off the previous Congress government. Among the verses of the song, it has the line, ‘Super CM, Super Power, Super Scam, Chhattisgarh was brought to ruin’ and mentions several controversies and scams that had taken place under the earlier Congress government.
The rap also includes names of the ex-officials from the previous Congress government such as Saumya Chaurasia. The BJP’s musical attack has thus turned into a fresh talking point in politics in Chhattisgarh after it was released.
The Congress has responded to the verdict of the ruling BJP over the campaign. State Congress chief Deepak Baij lashed out at the BJP for targeting such posters and videos to gain visibility when Baij himself highlighted that the government limited its exposure to its initiatives.
Instead of political attacks the BJP should issue posters detailing their schemes and accomplishments, and detailing their contribution to the people over government, Baij said.
He also had a dig at the BJP government on the ‘Super CM’ issue. Baij said that ‘Kaushalya Bhabhi’ was the actual Super CM, basing on remarks allegedly made by her.
Adding fuel to the fire, which served as a major criticism from BJP leader and former Chief Minister of Delhi, Baij called Finance Minister OP Choudhary a ‘Super CM’. He addressed the BJP’s objection on the fact that it was mentioning Saumya Chaurasia as an official.
The event comes as a reflection of the raging political battle between the BJP and Congress in Chhattisgarh today, till where social media is playing a decisive role for both to tar each other.
