The release of Siddharth Malhotra’s ‘Yodha’ trailer, brimming with patriotism, had fans eagerly anticipating the film. However, ‘Yodha’ failed to captivate audiences in theaters. Despite a slow start, the film couldn’t maintain momentum at the box office. Two weeks post-release, it has yet to cross the Rs 50 crore mark, marking a disappointing performance. The audience, who had high hopes for Malhotra’s action-packed film, showed minimal response post its big-screen debut.
Competing against Ajay Devgan’s supernatural thriller ‘Shaitan,’ ‘Yodha’ struggled, barely scraping together a few crores. ‘Yodha’ opened with just Rs 4.1 crore and accumulated Rs 25.25 crore in its first week. However, its second-week earnings witnessed a sharp decline. Earnings dwindled to Rs 1.6 crore on the second Monday, followed by Rs 83 lakh on the second Tuesday, and Rs 63 lakh on the second Wednesday. As the film completed 14 days in theaters, its earnings on the second Thursday amounted to Rs 48 lakh. The total collection for ‘Yodha’ after 14 days now stands at Rs 32.79 crore.
With such figures, reaching the Rs 50 crore milestone seems increasingly improbable for ‘Yodha.’ The film is struggling to draw audiences, and its box office prospects look bleak. Despite efforts, earnings are meager, making it challenging for the film to achieve significant numbers. The release of Kareena Kapoor, Tabu, and Kriti Sanon starrer ‘Crew’ further complicates ‘Yodha’s’ situation. The anticipation for ‘Crew’ is high, posing a significant threat to ‘Yodha’s’ survival at the box office.
In conclusion, ‘Yodha’ is facing a tough battle at the box office, and surpassing the Rs 50 crore mark seems highly unlikely given its current performance and the competitive landscape.
