The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) has filed an FIR in a case where actor/comedian Sushant Singh Rajput’s ex-manager Disha Salian died. Actors Sooraj Pancholi, Rhea Chakraborty and Dino Morea, Shiv Sena (UBT) leader Aaditya Thackeray are among the list individuals whose roles have been mentioned for being investigated, officials said.

The development almost two weeks after the Bombay high court ordered investigation by CBI into Salian’s death. Sections of FIR mention murder, Gang raping, criminal conspiracy, destruction of evidence and furnishing false information.

The CBI FIR also mentions Uddhav Thackeray, who had served as Chief Minister till 2014, and other people. Its alleged involvement in a conspiracy and the subsequent cover-up is calling for an investigation, it says. The agency has also said it might look at the actions of certain government officials and police officers.

Several Names Under CBI Scanner

The doctors and staff members involved with the delayed post-mortem which made this happen and Aaditya Thackeray, Dino Morea, Sooraj Pancholi and Rhea Chakraborty are also among those who’s role needs an investigation, according to the FIR.

Earlier the CBI had asked the police to provide it with information and documents to help its investigation. Satish Salian, Sr. of Salian, was also recently interviewed by the agency and recorded his statement.

Bombay High Court ordered CBI to probe.

Disha Salian was found dead in Mumbai’s Malad area on June 8, 2020, in a residential building from 14th-floor. Her death also came years before Sushant Singh Rajput’s death in bandh-baiting paid tribute to her.It was days before Sushant Singh Rajput’s death in bandh-baiting was done in her memory. In Mumbai Police Register Accidental Death Report is registered in the case of Salian and later it has been alleged that she died by hanging.

Her father, however, hailed up the Bombay High Court stating that his daughter had allegedly been gang-raped to death and her deaths were reported by the police as a suicide pregnancy.

The High Court on September 2 ordered the CBI to dig into the case, coming up with concerns about investigation. The court noted discrepancies and the alleged failure of registration of FIR for several years.

The CBI’s investigation will look into the facts and allegations pertaining to Salian’s death.
