Spider-Man: Brand New Day has continued its stellar run in India on its 3rd day in theaters, with another stellar performance. Starring Tom Holland and Zendaya, the latest Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU) blockbuster collected an estimated Rs 66.75 crore net on Saturday, taking its total India net collection to Rs 176.70 crore, while its India gross has reached ₹211.27 crore.

It had chalked up a record-breaking Rs 60.6 crore net on the first day while it had grossed Rs 49.35 crore on Day 2. The superhero spectacle is projected to gross between USD 325 million and USD 358 million on its first weekend in the United States and around the world.

A total of 17,703 shows of Spider-Man: Brand New Day were held across the country on Day 3. However, the English version had the highest collections of Rs 38.35 crore followed by Hindi version with Rs 21.75 crore. The Tamil version brought in Rs 3.75 crore and the Telugu version Rs 2.75 crore.

The film also recorded an impressive 69.67% occupancy in English 3D shows on Saturday. Popularity of the film was reflected in Mumbai’s 775 screenings at an occupancy rate of 62.3%, and Bengaluru’s 653 screenings, at a higher 70.3% occupancy.

It’s directed by Destin Daniel Cretton, and also stars Jacob Batalon, Mark Ruffalo, Jon Bernthal, Sadie Sink and Tramell Tillman. It’s the fourth standalone Spider-Man movie in the MCU and one of the biggest Hollywood movies to have taken the top spot in the Indian box office, even beating some recent domestic and overseas releases.
