The event to promote Ramayana: Part 1 had its share of emotional moments, as the director of the film, Nitesh Tiwari, mentioned the reason behind his having Ranbir Kapoor and Sai Pallavi as Lord Rama and Goddess Sita.

Addressing an audience, Tiwari said that any artist’s eye never lies and admitted that Lord Rama had the attributes in actor Ranbir Kapoor and Goddess Sita in actor Sai Pallavi.

It was also a special event with the grandeur of Yash, portraying Ravana and Sunny Deol playing Lord Hanuman, who got applause from the viewers on being introduced.

Ramayana: Part 1, which was filmed on a Rs 4,000 crore budget, will hit theatres on November 8th, 2026.

The highlight of the evening was the graceful and traditional look of Sai Pallavi. She was dressed in Kanjivaram, a pink and gold cloth and had pink and gold temple jewellery with her. Ironed jhumkas and stacked bangles were also used to complete her look, which was accentuated with a red bindi and some light make-up.

Talking about her character as Sita, Sai Pallavi said that acting in the role was one of the best honours of her career. Playing a goddess on screen is a great responsibility and she attributed this to the team who had been working really hard to be able to portray the epic so realistically, she said.

The actress also said that the opportunity to play Sita has come at a good time for her as she never wanted to do it and never expected that it would happen in her life.
