The much-anticipated Ramayana: Part One is apparently booked for a theatrical release in India as of November 5, led by the lead actor, Ranbir Kapoor.
Sources reported that it will show paid previews in India on November 4 with a formal release on November 5. The reported dates, however, are not definitive and may shift as the producers work on developing global release plans for the movie.
Ramayana: Part One will also be released in several other international markets soon. The movie will roll out in other markets on November 5, including Australia, New Zealand, Southeast Asia, Middle East, and Germany.
The film is allegedly in the process of release in the UK on November 6, South Africa and Mauritius too. It is not set to be released in China, Japan, South Korea, Taiwan and Hong Kong yet. The lands may be released all over the globe or at a later time distributed to the lands.
Lord Rama is portrayed by Ranbir Kapoor, Goddess Sita is done by Sai Pallavi and Ravana is portrayed by Yash. The project is being fashioned as a two-part series, helmed by Nitesh Tiwari (Ramayana: Part One), which will be released in theatres during Diwali 2027.
In September, the makers did release a behind-the-scenes video to give viewers an idea about the scale of the production and Ranbir’s physique makeover for the character.
Talking of playing Lord Rama, Ranbir said that it was not just another role in a film but a responsibility. He spoke of the fact that Rama’s greatest power was his “Kshama”, forgiveness,” he said.
The production is one of the most ambitious Indian films in the works, which is to be release theatrically in multiple countries overseas.
