Mumbai: Fans got a big surprise when Salman announced this morning that Karan Arjun will re-release in theaters on November 22. Karan Arjun, starring Salman Khan and Shahrukh Khan, is one of the few iconic films of Bollywood. This film, directed by Rakesh Roshan, was released in theaters in 1995.
Karan Arjun set for re-release
Salman shared a brand new teaser of the film and wrote in the caption, “Raakhi ji ne sahi kaha tha film mein ki mere Karan Arjun aayenge… November 22 ko duniya bhar ke cinema gharon mein (Rakhi ji had said that her Karan Arjun would return, so this November 22 they will return nationwide in theatres from November 22)!”
Hrithik Roshan also announced the re-release of his father’s movie on Instagram. He wrote, “Cinema was never the same again… When Karan Arjun came together on the big screen for the first time ever. Re-live the reincarnation of Karan Arjun in theatres worldwide from November 22nd, 2024!”
About Karan Arjun
Apart from Rakhi Gulzar, Shahrukh, and Salman, Kajol, Mamta Kulkarni, Amrish Puri, and Ranjeet also played important roles in this film based on reincarnation. In this film, two brothers (Karan-Arjun) wanted to take revenge from their greedy uncle for the murder of their father, but they too were killed by their uncle. Then their mother (Rakhee Gulzar) prays that Goddess Kali brings her sons back so that they can avenge the family. After seventeen years, her prayers have been answered.
The movie was a huge hit when it came out in January 1995. The movie resonated with the audience, whether it was through the songs, the performance, or the story.
