Meluha writer Amish Tripathi dismissed reports hinting Dhurandhar star acquiring production rights. He said, “I’m in the UK with my son right now and I woke up to a flood of messages. The rights for the Shiva Trilogy are with me. And nothing has been signed with anyone as yet. Of course, I have huge respect for Ranveer, and am a big fan of his. But this news is not true.’
Earlier during the day, reports circulated stating Ranveer Singh will be playing a mythological character in his next. According to reports, he was set to play Lord Shiva in the adaptation of Immortal of Melua written by Amish Tripathi. Sources also revealed the film would be screening under the banner Maa Kasam Films. Ranveer Singh has reportedly partnered with Ananya Birla for the project. Both are actively working on it. The film is planned to be made in three parts.
In addition to The Immortals of Meluha, Ranveer also has Jay Mehta’s film Pralay, which is expected to begin shooting in August 2026, although no official announcement regarding the film has been made yet.
On the personal front, Ranveer and Deepika announced the arrival of their second child recently. They shared the happy update with fans by posting a photo of their daughter, Dua, on Instagram.
