The Madhyamik class 10 exam results for 2026 were officially announced by West Bengal Board of Secondary Education (WBBSE) on Thursday, which has brought relief and excitement to lakhs of students in West Bengal. The students have now access to download digital marksheet from the official website WB Results Portal and WBBSE Official Website and view the marksheet.

Abhirup Bhadra this year came up with a fantastic score of 99.71% and broke the record for being the topper in the state. The board also published the complete toppers’ list as well as the performance details district-wise and school-wise.

This year, a total of 9,71,340 students took part in Madhyamik exams, official data shows. Exams were held smoothly in 2682 schools across the state. Of these, 945 were main examination centres and 1,737 were sub-centres to cater to the huge number of candidates.

The Madhyamik exams took place from 2nd February to 12th February 2026. The language papers were the first compulsory papers and the optional elective papers the last. All exams were given the first morning shift consisting of 10:45 am to 2:00 pm. The first 15 minutes were made available to students for reading question paper only before they started answering questions.

Education authorities announced that precautions have been taken to monitor the exercise and hold it properly. The board emphasized on clear assessment and prompt declaration of results as compared to previous years.

Pupils are encouraged to check all information on their online marksheet carefully. Original Mark sheets and Certificates will be issued later via respective Schools. The board has also offered students the chance to request scrutiny or review of their results, if they are unhappy with their results, within the allotted time period.

This has been met with rejoicing in the schools and within families as students chart their next steps in higher secondary education.
