The NTA in an improvised version has offered candidates two options regarding the download of admit cards. Acknowledging the complaints recieved by the candidates, the NTA announced two options allowing candidates to choose which options suits them.

In the first option, candidates can downlaod their admit card first and then confirm the bank details for the examination fee refund later. While in the second option, candidates can review and confirm the bank details for the refund first and then proceed with downlaoding the admit card.

The announcement was made on the NTA official X handle late on Wednesday night. The decision stemmed from an online discussion with many labelling the testing agency’s move to introduce an ‘edit and resubmit’ option before downloading admit cards as ‘misleading and a scam.’ The issue escalated into a major concern when stduents realised that their refund details could not be submitted even though they had filled them in earlier.

Meanwhile, NTA has now offered relief to those who had skipped resubmission, while also informing that 16 lakh candidates have downloaded their admit cards so far.

“In case any candidate faces difficulty in downloading the Admit Card for NEET (UG) – 2026, she/he may contact NTA at 011-40759000/011-69227700 or e-mail at [email protected],” the official notice reads.

Since June 14 nearly 16 lakh students have downloaded the admit cards. Several have been reporting issues since the portal was launched.

NEET UG re-exam is being scheduled on June 21, following the cancellation of the exam on May 3rd in view of paper leak. Nearly 13 have been arrested in the case handled by the CBI. Recently, accused Yash Yadav was granted permission by the Delhi court to appear for the re-exam but in judicial custody. He was denied interim bail on the grounds of being able to tamper with evidence as the investigation was underway.
