New Delhi: The NTA has officially activated the NEET Refund 2026 portal for students affected by paper leak controversy. Students can now submit their bank details online through the official website, neet.nta.nic.in. Students are required to submit their bank details online to which the refund would be transferred directly.
The fee refund is available only for those candidates w. ho successfully completed the original NEET UG 2026 registration and paid the application fee
The refund process began 22nd May, for which eligible students must complete the process before May 27, 2026.
Meanwhile, in a recent development, the CBI nabbed 11th accused in the alleged NEET UG 2026 paper leak case. Manisha Sanjay Havaldar- principal of Seth Hiralal Saraf Prashala accused of leaking the Physics question paper was detained. CBI said that Havaldar, was appointed as an expert by the National Testing Agency (NTA) had “complete access” to the physics question papers.
“She was involved in the NEET UG 2026 Examination process and was appointed by NTA as an expert. She had complete access to the Physics question papers. During April 2026, she had shared some of the questions of the NEET-UG 2026 examination pertaining to Physics subject with co-accused Manisha Mandhare (the botany and zoology expert arrested on May 16). The questions she shared have tallied with the physics questions of actual paper sets,” a CBI spokesperson said in a statement.
Vidya Prasarini Sabha (VPS), a century-old educational institution, on Friday said it had suspended Havaldar, who was working with one of its schools, following the action by the probing agency. The institution has also formed a five-member committee to investigate the matter.
So far, CBI has detained several accused in the case. P V Kulkarni, a retired chemistry lecturer, and Manisha Mandhare, a botany teacher, were recently arrested in connection with the case.
NTA on May 12 cancelled NEET held on May 3rd amid allegations of paper leak. A re-exam has been scheduled on June 21st.
