Controversies surrounding NEET UG re-exam have taken a hilarious turn as a student from Nagpur was allotted an examination centre at Abu Dhabi. Medical aspirants are preparing to test their luck again with NEET UG re-exam scheduled tomorrow.

In a reported case of mismanagement, a student from Nagpur was allotted an examination centre in Abu Dhabi for the NEET UG re-exam tomorrow, leaving him in distress. Previously for the first attempt, the NEET aspirants was issued an admit card for a centre in Nagpur only.

According to the sources, the aspirants had selected accessible areas like Nagpur, Wardha and Bhandara as his preferred examination centres while filling out the application form. Despite which he was allotted a centre thousands of miles away from his home. In a media interaction, the students father said that the family was stunned by the allotment of a foreign examination centre. According to him, the aspirant had mentioned to have carefully selected the centres while submitting the application.

Adding to the family’s distress was the absence of a passport, which made it even more challenging for the NEET aspirant to appear for the exam as it was practically impossible to complete the travel formalities with just two days ahead of the NEET UG re-exam. However, NTA later acknowledged the complaint and immediately contacted the student claiming it to be a technical error. However, despite the assurance, the student and his family have remained under considerable stress while awaiting an updated hall ticket. Officials have asserted him to provide a new hall ticket by 4 PM on Saturday.
