New Delhi: Amidst the ongoing escalations against the CBSE re-evaluation portal, Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan on Saturday sought a report by the board officials over the technical glitches brought to the notice.

The intervention follows complaints by Class 12 and 10 students mentioning failed payment transactions, server downtime, delays while applying for verification of marks and re-evaluation since the results and other operational lapses. Officials have been directed to explain the reason behind the glitches, the preparedness measures in place and the accountability of the agencies overseeing the process.

This move comes amid CBSEs Class 12 results this year have been marred by controversy over the newly introduced marking system with several students claiming to have received unfair treatment.

Access to scanned copies has exposed deeper concerns as the copies seemed to be either blurred or incorrectly evaluated. The process of re-verification which was opened as a rebuttal to the claims of inaccurate marking itself has come under criticism with students alleging unreadable answer sheets, unchecked questions, inappropriately rewarding and repeated technical failures on the portal.

The CBSE officials Saturday issued a statement following the leak of fake notice claiming that the ongoing photocopy and revaluation process for the 2026 board examinations had been cancelled. The forged notice began circulating on social media platforms, prompting the board to warn students against fake news and rumors and advise them to verify all information only through the official CBSE website.
