Mumbai: The Indian currency at the interforex exchange on Thursday gained slight benefits by 26 paise closing provisionally at 79.65.
At the opening trade, the local unit traded at 79.80 against the greenback and finally settled at 79.65, registering a rise over its previous close.
An intra-day high of 79.64 and a low of 79.85 against the greenback currency was witnessed during the session.
A day before, the domestic currency slipped by 13 paise to close at 79.91 against one dollar.
