The budget session of the parliament for 2025 is anticipated to start on the 31st of January and will be held in two different parts. As per the sources, the date of the exercise is expected to be as follows: the first phase between January 31 and February 13. During this period, the eighth consecutive budget of the current government is going to be presented by Finance Minister Smt. Nirmala Sitharaman on 1st February is an important event to present the government’s financial strategies and action plans for the year.
Pursuant to conventions, President Droupadi Murmu will address a joint sitting of the two Houses, the Lok Sabha and Rajya Sabha, on January 31.
