Bhopal: The Madhya Pradesh government will organise programmes to celebrate Tribal Pride Day across the state, with two major events in Jabalpur and Alirajpur. Today, on the occassion of 150th anniversary of Birsa Munda, CM addressed a public gathering to mark Tribal Pride Day. The government has appointed all cabinet ministers, including Dy CMs Rajendra Shukla and Jagdish Devda, to participate. Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav had shared glimpse from the event on X.
Meanwhile, Leader of the Opposition Umang Singhar on Saturday extended his heartfelt greetings to the people of the state on the 150th birth anniversary of the great revolutionary Bhagwan Birsa Munda. He said, “Bhagwan Birsa Munda dedicated his entire life to the country’s independence and the protection of tribal religion and culture. On his 150th birth anniversary, we should all remember his sacrifice.”
Singhar launched a scathing attack on the BJP, saying, “The BJP is playing tribal vote bank politics in the country. While they are celebrating Birsa Munda’s birth anniversary for a fortnight, the Prime Minister hasn’t made any announcements for tribals on the occasion of his 150th birth anniversary.”
