On Friday, the Mumbai Police went on to release details of the investigations being conducted on the assault on Bollywood actor Saif Ali Khan. Police claimed that the accused was seen for the last time around Bandra railway station, and a search operation has been launched to nab him. Police believe that the suspect travelled in the first local train service in the morning towards the Vasai-Virar region after the crime took place. His parents said that policemen are actively searching for him in Vasai, Nalasopara, and Virar areas right now.
During the investigations, police are in the process of analyzing video footage from the security cam at the actor’s building, Satguru Sharan, where the actor was attacked during what the police claimed as a break-in try. According to the footage, the intruder was caught leaving the scene carrying a wooden stick together with a long Hexa blade. The police say it could not have been an attempt to commit murder. Perhaps the burglar was attacked mid-way through his work.
The attack, which happened at around 3 am on Thursday, caused the actor who is 54-year-old to be taken to the hospital with six stabs, one of which was on the neck. He was taken to Lilavati Hospital and had surgery done on him as soon as he could be operated on. Doctors have said that his situation is not critical, and he is still being monitored by the medical practitioners.
The attack has left Bollywood and the actor’s followers aghast, generating worries over safety in residential sectors. At the same time, the police are increasing the activity within the framework of the investigation of the accused. The police are currently studying the videos to reconstruct the flow of events as well as the objects that were used to attack them.
