In the two theft incidents in different locations, the Shyampur police have preserved and arrested four accused. The police recovered items believed to have been stolen, worth about ₹20 lakh, including electric wires, from the accused.
SDOP Pooja Sharma said that the Shyampur Electricity Department lodged a complaint regarding stolen electric wires on 14.06. The theft was carried out on Sehore-Shyampur Road, where miscreants had cut and dragged wires from the electric poles. Immediately after receiving the complaint, the police registered a case and started a case immediately.
Likewise, another complaint was filed about the theft of electric wires standing by Baiargarh Khuman village, where the railway line is under construction. An FIR was lodged in the second incident, and the police started working to investigate the case deeply.
As regards both, a special team was constituted at Shyampur Police Station with the intervention of the Police Station in charge. The short story shows the gruelling efforts exerted by the team before they nabbed the thug. They also seized electric wires valued ₹20 lakh besides a pick-up vehicle the police said was used for transporting the stolen property.
All the arrested persons were questioned and given the information by them; other evidence was secured, making the case strong against the individuals arrested. In accordance with legal formalities, the accused were then taken into custody, that is, into jail.
This achievement testifies not only to the commitment to preventing theft and maintaining security but also to the performance of the Shyampur Police force. The action was fast and effective and solved the cases and saved the company from further losses to the electricity department. Police leaders encouraged people to report any suspicious individuals to avoid any emergence of disturbances in the area.
