The case of fraudulent activities involving Mohammad Sheikh, a resident of Saudi Arabia, has come to light, accusing Jafar Khan of Indore of a scam amounting to ₹2.5 crores. Mohammad Sheikh, who arrived from Saudi Arabia to Indore, revealed that he intended to build a marriage hall in the Chandan Nagar area of Indore. The meeting regarding this venture occurred with Jafar’s partner, Junaid, in 2019. Junaid was allegedly paid ₹2.5 crores, and subsequently, he assigned a piece of land in the Chandan Nagar area to Mohammad Sheikh. However, it later appeared that the allotted land was meant for a temple.

Following this revelation, the victim filed a complaint with the Chandan Nagar Police. Despite the complaint, no action has been taken against Jafar Khan by the police. In Saudi Arabia, Mohammad Sheikh stated, “I have been working as a plumber in Saudi Arabia for 25 years. I saved every penny to fulfil my dream of building a marriage hall in Indore, where the poor could have their children’s weddings for free. However, Jafar Khan has embezzled the entire sum and refuses to return the money.”

On the other hand, in this entire case, the police have not taken any action so far. In recent days, Indore Collector Ashish Singh took action against Jafar Khan. Earlier, the Municipal Corporation had demolished Jafar Khan’s unauthorized construction. After that, supporters of Jafar Khan attacked the Municipal Corporation’s bulldozer. However, the station’s in-charge did not register an FIR against Jafar Khan then. Subsequently, senior officials were informed about the situation, and the authorities have initiated action against Jafar Khan under the RASUKA.
