Raipur: The electoral fervor in Chhattisgarh has escalated rapidly, with all political parties intensifying their campaign efforts. Kumar Selja, the State Congress in-charge, has been actively engaged in election-related activities, with her recent visit to Korba garnering attention. Selja expressed her observations regarding the high level of enthusiasm evident among the populace during her tours, stating that the Congress is not just making promises but also delivering results. She emphasized that the party is dedicated to the welfare of the people and is determined to manifest its commitments in action.

Selja emphasized the growing momentum of the election in the Bastar area, highlighting the widespread nomination of Congress candidates. She noted the increasing faith of the public in the party, remarking that the Congress stands by its word. Selja pointed out that the selection of candidates is a meticulous process, and tickets are awarded to individuals with a grassroots presence in politics. She indicated that change is afoot and that ticket distribution is conducted with careful consideration.

When discussing the participation of women in the electoral process, Selja proudly stated that the Congress has allotted tickets to 20% of female candidates. Furthermore, she emphasized that this decision was not merely a symbolic gesture but a recognition of the competency and capability of these women to lead. The Congress aims not only to empower women but also to provide effective leadership through them.

In response to allegations made by the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), Selja dismissed their claims, asserting that the BJP lacks substance. She mentioned their constant search for evidence to support their allegations, but the people’s focus is on development and progress. Selja compared the Congress’s five years in power favorably to the BJP’s 15 years, highlighting the notable achievements of the Congress government and emphasizing that their work speaks for itself.

Bhupesh Baghel, the Chief Minister of Chhattisgarh, also voiced his opinion on Twitter, expressing confidence in the Congress’s prospects. He mentioned that even BJP supporters are willing to vote for Congress because of the positive outcomes they have witnessed, including loan waivers and the assurance of purchasing 20 quintals of paddy per acre. Baghel underlined the widespread satisfaction with the Congress government’s performance over the past five years.
