Dhar: A trolley went uncontrolled today morning at Ganpati Ghat in Dhar district and broke the divider. It hit two vehicles going towards the climb and another vehicle including a container loaded with cars caught fire. With this, a huge fire broke out in the trolley.

Two people were burnt alive and two have been seriously injured and sent to Dhamnod for treatment. Locals who first witnessed the fire called the fire engines, but the fire could not be controlled.

A bus that was hit in this accident left the place of the accident as all passengers were safe. Police forces from Khargone and Dhar districts are deployed on the spot and rescue operation is on.

Ganpati Ghat is situated on National Highway under Dhamnod police station area of Dhar district and has now become infamous as Maut ke Ghat. Since 2009, more than 700 people have died here. Earlier in October, a trolley descending from the ghat coming from Manpur uncontrollably broke the divider and hit another trolley going from Dhamnod towards Indore.
