NAGPUR: A 38-year-old man was arrested on the charge of repeatedly raping his minor daughter Nagpur police official said on Tuesday.
The crime came to the fore after the wife noticed the act on the intervening night of Monday and Tuesday and lodged a complaint against her husband. Subsequently, a case is registered against the father for rape under sections of IPC and the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences Act. The complaint mentioned that the accused raped the girl multiple times over the last two months.
The accused has been identified as a native of Bihar and is currently living in the MIDC area of Kamleshwar town with his wife and nine-year-old victim.
