Raipur: Under the influence of the cyclonic circulation over east central and adjoining Bay of Bengal, several districts in CG are expected to receive fairly widespread rainfall. A yellow alert has been issued across 9 districts including Korea, Surajpur, Surguja, Bilaspur, Pendra, Sukma, and Jashpur. The weather watchdog has predicted lightning in several areas as well. An alert notice has been issued in these regions instructing residents to stay put.

According to Raipur Met Dept official HP Chandra, Monsoon Dronika is located at the mean sea level in Jaisalmer, Kota, Guna. Sidhi, Ambikapur, Jharsuguda, Balasore moving towards southeast causing light rains. The administration has made special evac preparations in low lying areas.

Meanwhile, district Raipur and Durg are expected to witness rising temperatures.

At present a cyclonic circulation in Karnataka is expected to bring widespread rains across the west side of the Southern peninsula from Thursday to Friday. The AP and Orissa coasts likely to recieve heavy rains which will move towards Bangladesh and the adjoining areas on Monday. Subdued rainfall is likely to continue over most parts of the Northwest India in the coming five days.
