Indore: Displaying a perfect example of brotherhood and communal harmony, a Muslim man in Indore is given wagon services from a Hindu family to offer Namaz every year. Indore is known for this gesture of communal peace since years where people have seen Muslim women in Burka carrying Kanwad on their shoulders in the month of Savan. Every year on the occasion of Eid, Hindu family make preparations for the Qazi.
The festival of Eid will be celebrated round the country tomorrow. The Convenor of reserve Force, Satyanarayan Salwadia in a statement said that the Qazi will be welcomed with flowers and consequently will be offered a decorated wagon which will take him for Eidgah in Sadar Bazar at 9 am on Sunday. He further stated that the locals have been practising this gesture for the past 50 years now. Due to COVID-19 outbreak they were unable to carry out this exercise in 2020 and 2021 but they are glad for the Eid celebrations tomorrow.
Meanwhile, Qazi of the town Mohammad Ishrat Ali said that his father was also the Qazi and even before his death in the year 1990, Salwadia family used to follow the same practice of decorating a wagon and taking the entire Ali family to offer Namaz on the occasion of Eid.
