Indore: The Bhartiya Janta Party sacked 22 members from the party. State BJP Chief Vishnu Dutt Sharma passed the order on Friday.

City Party President Gaurav Randive in a statement said that the rebel members have been dismissed from their duties with immediate effect for the next 6 years. Reports suggest that more such suspensions are possible in the coming days.

Meanwhile , many workers also quit the party voluntarily and filed nominations as Independents while some of them also joined Aam Aadmi Party (AAP). AAP has fielded its candidates from 10 wards which as per the poll strategists is an alarming situation for BJP on its prospects in the civic polls. The last date for taking back nominations was June 22. The Congress Party will also go in to these polls with a number of promises for the people of Indore. MC Elections in Indore will decide the future play of politics in the state a well.

The IMC election will be held on July 6 and counting of votes will be held on July 17. The District Election Office is making all-out efforts for conducting free and fair elections.
